Green butted Eric's beatle gets their interest

Finally managed to get out fishing on the river. Although the coarse season had just started I only had about 3 hrs so it was easier to get the fly gear together. I had a nice grayling to start and then a brown trout next cast. An Erics'  beatle was the fly that immediately got their interest..

 

There was plenty of fly life compared to my last trip and even the occasional mayfly was coming off

 



 

 

In the end I finished with 7 trout and 3 grayling so not bad for three hours around lunchtime from a very low River Nidd
