Well as those that follow my blog know I am not one for fishing in hot and sunny weather. But it was still very warm when I fished the Nidd just before the end of the trout season. Very enjoyable few hours. I decided to fish a nymph under an indicator to make sure my fly would be in the taking zone all the time. I fished a flashy small nymph with a copper head and managed 2 grayling and 3 trout.
Not bad and an enjoyable session but I am really getting interested now there is a nip in the air. I set up my pike gear today and bought my bait. October means pike - bring it on ! My club lake has been stocked with rainbows today so I am spoilt for choice - can't wait !!
